MISSION STATEMENT

 

Kansas City Spurs Basketball Club was established in 2003 as a local grade school team, and over the years has grown into one of Kansas City's premier youth basketball programs. The KC Spurs Basketball Club operates as a not-for-profit organization, and has made a tremendous impact on young men in the Kansas City area for 20 years.

 

The Club's primary goal is to develop the skills necessary for young men to compete at a high level both locally and nationally while providing a platform for educational and character development using sports as a driving force.

 

The Kansas City Spurs organization produces fundamentally sound basketball players  and men of character, who play hard, understand the game and are able to compete nationally in a team first environment.   The skills learned go well beyond basketball. Integrity, accountability and other desirable character traits are built into everything we do.

 

We are willing to give anything of ourselves to our players; we ask in return that our players simply return the favor by meeting the expectations described under the About Us tab.
